What would be so deviling than a plugged waste pipe!.

At the end of a tough day’s work, you get into the shower and enjoy the buzz of hot water on your face and then, suddenly your toes seem to go under water too – Oh no, the drain pipe is clogged up once again!. How disgusting! the drainpipe is clogged up . What about that wet sinking feeling when you are brushing your teeth at the washbasin on a lousy Monday morning and the filled sink just refuses to drainpipe!. Clearing choked drains is something everyone wants to avoid because it’s such a messy task and the defective drainage make one appear unhygienic (and that’s what those drains are). However, most household bathrooms will experience a clogged drainpipe at some time and one time or another. Every householder must know how to fight that monster of a clogged up drain pipe.

Why Do They Happen?.

blocked drainage can occur when some material such as hair, dust and particles become trapped in the area between your bathroom drainpipe and the drainage pipes that follow underneath. The problem gets worse when the particle build up is cemented together by the residues of detergents and cleansing cosmetic items. When the offending mass becomes too dense to allow any water to flow through freely, the problem is identified as a clogged drainpipe. If you notice water getting accumulated in your tub or sink, you definitely have plugged drains.

Clear Up Your drains fast.

If you’re facing a clogged bathroom sink or bath drain problem, there are a couple of different things you can do to get things flowing smoothly again. The first step is to remove the plug whether the blocked drain pipe is in a sink or bathtub. With a bathroom sink this can be as easy as pulling it right out or as complicated a problem as looking under the sink and removing the nut that holds it in place. In case of bathtub drainpipe, you can either remove the overflow plate or unscrew the plug.

The accumulated matter clogging up your drain may be clearly visible when you have taken off the plug. Whilst messy, it is nothing, but a mound of hair and fragments around the components of the bathroom drainpipe. Try to pull it out, as much as you can. If it is out of reach, you can use a wire clothes hanger to remove it if you can hook into the debris and pull it. This step of removing the residual clumps will remove the local blockage at your drain pipe point.

If you need to disassemble the drainpipe and notice that the blockage is not even within reach of a wire hanger, you will have to try another method. clogs which are very deep can be removed with the help of a drain pipe plunger. Ensure that you have placed a wet rag on the overflow drainpipe – this will produce better suction pressure from the plunger. Now, place the plunger straight away on the opening of the drain pipe, and thump it up and down a number of times. When you finally release the plunger, any trapped water should immediately be drained.

However, if this method also fails to have any affect you might have to use some sort of chemical cleaner. It should be noted that chemical drainpipe cleaners should only be used as a final solution as the chemical substances are harmful and could damage your bathroom fixtures and sanitary fittings.

Call a professional plumber if all else fails.

If you are unable to unclog the drainage even after trying all the methods, it is only advisable to call a professional plumber who has experience of drainage work. Plumbers have special equipment to clean the plugged drainage speedily and effortlessly such as a drainage snake, drainage contractors also employ water jetting to clear blockages and cctv drainage cameras to view inside the drain pipe. Though it won’t come cheaply, an experienced plumber’s help can provide peace of mind.
