My shower drains smells I tried Clorox and Drano but the odor won´t go away, any solutions?
It is the shower I used the most in my house, the house is 4 years old. It is located in the second floor, the other bathroom does not have that problem.

Pour in a few heaping tablespoons of baking soda. Wait a few minutes then pour in about a cup of white vinegar. Wait about an hour then pour in a saucepan of boiling hot water.
This works on kitchen sink drains, so I would guess it will work on shower drains too.
I just re-read your question-NEVER mix drano and chlorine bleach-it can create a DEADLY gas!!!

the big question is was a trap installed on the drain line ? if it wasn’t the odor will never go away, if there is a trap try using enzymes you can purchase from a hardware store they will eat up excess bacteria

try cleaning the inside of the pipes. organic matter like hairs, etc, could cause the smell. Then use Caustic soda and then flush it with plenty of water. Tray a bit of Pine sol.

It is possible the plumbers forgot to install a P-trap at the shower drain. This looks like the curved pipe under your kitchen sink. Water remains in the bend thus preventing sewer gas from seeping into your shower.
Try pushing a straightened coat hanger down the drain. If it goes straight down over a foot or so then that is probably your problem.

Also, after you check the the pee trap(s) check for proper ventilation of drain lines as an animal or other item may have plugged the vent pipe.

could be that the drain pipe needs to be lower to allow the sewer gas to escape. If it is too straight across, it doesn’t allow water to settle, thus preventing the sewer gas to come up the drain.

Lemons… or lemon juice just for everyday (we use it in the kitchen, and lots of ppl use it for disposals), but if there is some sort of debris in the trap it may be rotting and giving you your trouble, best to get it out of there if possible maybe =)

The roof vent could be clogged? Have drains snaked , if shower is seperate from bathtub run water in bath drain . Also if shower is glass encloser sit on tile check for odor undermetal frame. If glass in metal frame with rubber seals holding glass in check for smells there, some rubbers mold also.

If the shower is tile or cast marble the shower pan (the pan is located under the floor) may be holding stagnant water if the weep holes on the drain become clogged. The weep holes are located on the lower section of the drain. If you unscrew the top part of the drain you can see little holes around the outside diameter of the main pipe. Stick a thin piece of wire through the holes to clean them out and replace the top part of the drain.
